POMONA, Calif. - Robert Hight sits atop of the Funny Car class following qualifying Saturday at the 59th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel) and Rodger Brogdon (Pro Stock) are also No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the first of 24 events on the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule.

Robert Hight Funny Car No. 1 Qualifier Auto Club Of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro Ss 3.871 Sec., 329.67 Mph

Hight sits atop of the Funny Car category after his second qualifying run of the 2019 season to secure the No. 1 spot and the 61st of his career.

Top Fuel No. 1 Qualifier Steve Torrence drove his Capco Contractors/Torrence Racing dragster to a 3.657 second pass at 331.61 mph.

Defending Top Fuel world champion, Torrence, piloted to the top of the class to secure his first No. 1 qualifying position of the season.

Pro Stock No. 1 Qualifier Rodger Brogdon drove his RBR Machine Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.522 second pass at 212.03 mph.

Brogdon secured his first No. 1 qualifying position since Gainesville 2011.
