Hagan is 3 - 1 against Todd in prior events and Todd is 1 - 0 against Hagan in prior final rounds.

Hagan gets the advantage off the line, stays in front to the 330 foot mark, then loses a cylinder and starts moving toward the wall. He has to back off the throttle allowing Todd to get around him and pull away for the win. Todd takes the win and leaves some oil in the shutdown area.

This is Todd's fifth win this year, the 16th of his career, and his seventh career win in Funny Car.
