LAS VEGAS -- Funny Car racer Jack Beckman raced to the current No. 1 qualifying position in the category on Friday at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Clay Millican (Top Fuel), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also provisional No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the fifth of six playoff events during the 2018 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship.

Current Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Jack Beckman drove his Infinite Hero Foundation Charger R/T to a 3.922 second pass at 327.19 mph.

Beckman has two consecutive No. 1 qualifying positions at this event and looking to secure his second No. 1 qualifier of the season.

Current Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Clay Millican drove his Parts Plus/Great Clips dragster to a 3.699 second pass at 327.82 mph.

Millican is seeking his 10th No. 1 qualifier of the season and is looking for his first career victory at Las Vegas.

Current Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.638 second pass at 205.57 mph.

Anderson, the defending event winner, first qualifying run of the session took him to the top of the category.

Current Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Eddie Krawiec rode his Screamin' Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson to a 6.859 second pass at 195.65 mph.

Defending event champion, Krawiec, rode his bike to the No. 1 spot during the second qualifying session. He is chasing his fifth world championship
