LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 18th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Terry Haddock Runs 4.018/295.21, Now #9; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 21 percent, barometer 27.93 inches, adjusted altitude 4,483 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Haddock didn't make a pass earlier today and is in his Top Fueler for the first time since Norwalk. He is straight down the groove with a good clean pass to get in the show.

Carrillo is dropping cylinders early and clicked it off.

Kalitta launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.163, 660ft-3.045/287.05 mph.

Salinas starts to lose traction and drop cylinders before the engine let go.

Reed started to mix up cylinders and clicked it off.

This was a good side-by-side drag race.

Crampton launched hard and kept it hooked up to get off the bump spot into the top half of the show. Richie Crampton's incremental times: 60ft-0.853 sec., 330ft-2.165, 660ft-3.050/286.19 mph.

Palmer is straight down the groove into the top half of the show. Scott Palmer's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.173, 660ft-3.072/283.79 mph.

McMillen was up in smoke by 330 feet and clicked it off.

Millican launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. As Millican crossed the finish line the engine let go with a engine explosion and quick fireball. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.829 sec., 330ft-2.104, 660ft-2.972/293.60 mph.

This was a great side-by-side drag race.

Schumacher was straight down the groove to go to the number four spot. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.857 sec., 330ft-2.157, 660ft-3.041/288.27 mph.

Force had it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number two spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.843 sec., 330ft-2.138, 660ft-3.016/289.76 mph.

Torrence with a real nice pass to move up the ladder one spot. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.856 sec., 330ft-2.170, 660ft-3.060/286.32 mph.

Alexander with another good pass, but will not improve. Blake Alexander's incremental times: 60ft-0.863 sec., 330ft-2.192, 660ft-3.086/284.15 mph.

Torrence launched hard and was straight down the groove to go back to second on the qualifying sheet. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.127, 660ft-3.003/290.07 mph.

Buff was on a good pass until it started to mix up cylinders on the top end and he will stay in the number 10 spot. Troy Buff's incremental times: 60ft-0.878 sec., 330ft-2.202, 660ft-3.103/280.08 mph.

This was a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up day one of Top Fuel qualifying.

Brown is straight down the groove and he matches his time from earlier today and will stay in the number four spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.853 sec., 330ft-2.148, 660ft-3.029/289.01 mph.

Pritchett with her quickest pass of the day, but will stay in the number six spot. Leah Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.157, 660ft-3.036/288.83 mph.
