CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 11th annual NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by WIX Filters listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.733/204.35, Now #1
Right Lane: Wally Stroupe Runs 6.742/205.16, Now #2

Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 29.13 inches, adjusted altitude 2,361 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Tucker making his third appearance on the NHRA tour this season. He make his quickest and fastest pass of the season. Shane Tucker's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.821, 660ft-4.336/163.22 mph, 1,000ft-5.637.

Stroupe is straight down the groove with his career quickest and fastest pass. Wally Stroupe's incremental times: 60ft-1.012 sec., 330ft-2.828, 660ft-4.339/162.74 mph, 1,000ft-5.644.
