CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 11th annual NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by WIX Filters listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Jader Krolow No Time, Now #2
Right Lane: Justin Bond Runs 5.718/258.52, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 29.15 inches, adjusted altitude 2,426 feet, track temperature 106 degrees.

Krolow is pushed off the starting line after the burnout. bond launched hard and kept it hooked up to make the 10th quickest pass and the eighth fastest in the history of the class. Justin Bond's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.587, 660ft-3.810/203.68 mph, 1,000ft-4.846.

Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 5.868/249.90, Now #2

King with severe tire shake right art the hit and clicked it off.

Satterfield is straight down the groove and is just of his career best pass to go to the number two spot. Clint Satterfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.651, 660ft-3.903/207.05 mph, 1,000ft-4.968.

Right Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 5.820/251.44, Now #2

Winters shook and shut off.

Matusek kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove with his quickest and fastest pass this season. Steve Matusek's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.588, 660ft-3.853/197.74 mph, 1,000ft-4.922.

Frigo launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his career quickest and fast pass. This pass ties for the seventh quickest pass and the ties for the third fastest pass in history of Pro Mod. Sidnei Frigo's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.592, 660ft-3.811/204.42 mph, 1,000ft-4.844.

Ray launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his career quickest and fast pass to go to the number one spot. This is the fifth quickest pass in the history of Pro Mod. Jeremy Ray's incremental times: 60ft-0.948 sec., 330ft-2.515, 660ft-3.754/200.65 mph, 1,000ft-4.812.

This is a great side-by-side drag race.

alBalooshi with a good clean pass, straight down the groove. Khalid alBalooshi's incremental times: 60ft-0.963 sec., 330ft-2.565, 660ft-3.810/200.26 mph, 1,000ft-4.867.

Green goes to the number four spot with a great pass to start the weekend. Chad Green's incremental times: 60ft-0.967 sec., 330ft-2.561, 660ft-3.799/200.77 mph, 1,000ft-4.856.

Jackson was on a good pass until in the lights when he had a lot smoke.

smith with a good clean pass to start the weekend. Rickie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.568, 660ft-3.811/200.26 mph, 1,000ft-4.869.

Janis is right there with him to get into the top half of the show. Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-0.949 sec., 330ft-2.540, 660ft-3.803/196.79 mph, 1,000ft-4.878.
