Krawiec takes Pro Stock Motorcycle World Title and No. 1 Qualifier

B. Force, Beckman and Anderson Secure No. 1 Qualifiers at Auto Club NHRA Finals



POMONA, Calif. -- Eddie Krawiec clinched his fourth NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship, and first since 2012, by qualifying Saturday at the season ending Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

In other racing, Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Jack Beckman (Funny Car) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) were also No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the final race of the 2017 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Pro Stock Motorcycle World Champion Eddie Krawiec celebrates his fourth Championship on his Screamin' Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson.

Eddie Krawiec clinched his fourth NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship, and first since 2012, by qualifying Saturday at the season ending Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Brittany Force drove her Monster Energy dragster to a 3.667 second pass at 330.01 mph.

(This footage is from Friday's qualifying session) Force set the track elapsed-time record during the second qualifying session of the event. She is currently second in points for the Countdown to the Championship. Force will face Terry Haddock in the first round of eliminations.

Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Jack Beckman drove his Infinite Hero Foundation Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car to a 3.835 second pass at 334.98 mph.

(This footage is from Friday's qualifying session) Beckman raced to the top of the Funny Car class during Q2. He is clinched his second No. 1 qualifier of the season and 23rd of his career and will line up against Jeff Arend in eliminations.

Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.541 second pass at 209.79 mph.

(This footage is from Friday's qualifying session) Anderson is the category points leader and collected his sixth No. 1 qualifier of the season and 93rd of his career. He will race Alan Prusiensky in the finals tomorrow.
