POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 52nd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 22 percent, barometer 28.93 inches, adjusted altitude 3,291 feet, track temperature 109 degrees.

This is the first time St. Arnaud and Perkins have faced each other in eliminations. Perkins with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the hole shot win. St. Arnaud was dropping cylinder right at the hit, but got it to clean up. Perkins used up an engine right in the lights, but held on for the win.

This is the first time McPhillips and Severance have faced each other in eliminations. A couple great lights with the McPhillips getting a few ticks. Severance had the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win. He will have lane choice over Perkins in the final.
