GLENDORA, Calif. - JEGS Automotive Inc., a leading supplier of automotive and auto racing parts and equipment, has signed an agreement with NHRA to continue as the title sponsor for the NHRA SPORTSnationals held at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky., May 26-28, 2017. The sponsorship of the NHRA SPORTSnationals has been in the hands of JEGS for 12 consecutive years. JEGS came on board in 2005, one year after NHRA reinstituted the tradition-rich event.

The JEGS SPORTSnationals, the premier standalone event in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, will continue to be a national event with national points being awarded for all classes except Super Street, which will earn divisional championship points. New in 2016, all racers received an NHRA national event grade point for attending the race.

Earlier this year, JEGS also announced that it extended its sponsorship of the JEGS Allstars event, a race-within-a-race bonus program for the best of the best in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

The JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals are made exceptionally meaningful by the camaraderie evident throughout the ranks of Sportsman racers, the intense competition, and the overall NHRA Drag Racing fun inspired by the event.

The JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals showcases several of NHRA's Lucas Oil Series categories exclusively. Competitors in Competition Eliminator, Stock Eliminator, Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster compete for more than $100,000 at the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals.
