LAS VEGAS -- John Force (Funny Car), Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Shane Gray (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were event winners in their respective categories at the 23rd race on the 24 event NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule. It is the fifth race of the six-race NHRA Countdown to the Championship.

John Force, Peak Antifreeze Chevy Camaro, 3.884 seconds, 327.19 mph defeated Courtney Force, Traxxas Chevy Camaro, 3.906 seconds, 325.85 mph.

This is his fourth win of the season and the 147 of his career.

Steve Torrence, Capco Contractors Dragster, 3.734 seconds, 323.81 mph defeated J.R. Todd, SealMaster Dragster, 3.762 seconds, 321.96 mph.

This is the third win of the season for Torrence and his first at The Strip.

Shane Gray, Gray Motorsports Chevy Camaro, 6.719 seconds, 204.76 mph defeated Drew Skillman, Ray Skillman Chevy Camaro, 19.793 seconds, 27.72 mph.

This is the first win of the season for Gray and his first at the Strip.

Jerry Savoie, Alligator Farm Suzuki, 6.915 seconds, 194.13 mph defeated Andrew Hines, Screamin' Eagle/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson, Foul - Red Light.

This is his first win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He moves to third in points.

Cruz Pedregon in his Snap on Tools Toyota Funny Car experiences a wild ride as his Funny Car becomes airborne during his eliminations run. Pedregon was uninjured.
