LAS VEGAS - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 16th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals:

This is the first time Sanford and Bateman have faced each other in eliminations. Bateman with his starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Bateman with a great pass, low E.T. of race day for the win.

This is the first time Wolf and Fricke have faced each other in eliminations. wolf with a great light and then banged the blower and pulled out of the groove to a stop around 200 feet. Fricke launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make the quickest pass of race day and the fastest pass of the event. Jackie Fricke's incremental times: 60ft-0.957 sec., 330ft-2.449, 660ft-3.539/229.51 mph, 1,000ft-4.467.

Severance is 8 - 7 against Demke in prior events. Both drivers with great light and Demke getting the advantage. Severance has the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree and never trails from there on for the win. Joey Severance's MOV: 0.0697 seconds (approximately 24 feet). He will give up lane choice to Fricke in the semifinal.
