LAS VEGAS -- Clay Millican piloted his dragster to the Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier on Saturday at the 16th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals.

Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Jerry Savoie (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the 23rd race of 24 on the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule. The NHRA Toyota Nationals is the fifth event of the of the six-race NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship.

Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Clay Millican drove his Parts Plus / Great Clips Dragster to a 3.689 second pass at 327.27 mph.

This is the second No. 1 qualifying position of the year and the fourth of his career. He will face Terry Haddock in eliminations.

Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Jack Beckman drove his Infinite Hero Dodge Charger R/T to a 3.871 second pass at 327.43 mph

This is his fifth No. 1 qualifying position of the season and the 20th of his career. He will face Jeff Arend in the first round of eliminations.

Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro to a 6.677 second pass at 205.72 mph.

This is the seventh No. 1 qualifying position of the season for Anderson and the 87th of his career. He will face Aaron Strong in eliminations.

Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Jerry Savoie rode his Savoie's Alligator Farm Suzuki to a 6.880 second pass at 193.96 mph

This is his second No. 1 qualifying position of the season and the seventh of his career.

Funny Car Racer Involved in Incident
Jon Capps, Las Vegas, was involved in an incident during the fourth Funny Car qualifying session for the NHRA Toyota Nationals. His Funny Car went out of control during his run and crossed the track making contact with the left retaining wall. He exited the car under his own power and was checked and released by Safety Safari officials.
