ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 31st annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 3.807/320.20, Now #1

Dixon was on a good pass until right in the light when the car had a little wiggle. Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.158, 660ft-3.055/282.66 mph.

Right Lane: Troy Buff Runs 3.872/310.20, Now #2

Buff is straight down the groove with a good clean pass. Troy Buff's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.171, 660ft-3.097/274.22 mph.

Left Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 3.993/271.62, Now #4
Right Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 3.883/307.16, Now #3

Palmer started to mix up cylinders on the top end and clicked it off early. Scott Palmer's incremental times: 60ft-0.874 sec., 330ft-2.245, 660ft-3.171/272.94 mph. McMillenwith a good clean pass to start the weekend. Terry McMillen's incremental times: 60ft-0.877 sec., 330ft-2.205, 660ft-3.107/277.49 mph.

Right Lane: Richie Crampton Runs 3.741/315.64, Now #1

This is a great side-by-side drag race...Crampton goes to the number one spot. Richie Crampton's incremental times: 60ft-0.839 sec., 330ft-2.128, 660ft-2.994/290.63 mph. Millican is right there with him. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.822 sec., 330ft-2.112, 660ft-2.999/285.65 mph.

Left Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 3.787/322.96, Now #4
Right Lane: Leah Pritchett Runs 3.771/321.50, Now #3

Pritchett was straight down the groove to the number three spot...she was real loose on the top end. Leah Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.837 sec., 330ft-2.139, 660ft-3.022/285.05 mph. Todd was right there with her to go to the number four spot. J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.155, 660ft-3.041/285.35 mph.

Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.769/317.94, Now #3

Another great side-by-side drag race as they now go to numbers three and four spots. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.149, 660ft-3.029/288.21 mph.
Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.827 sec., 330ft-2.125, 660ft-3.016/284.56 mph.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.778/322.96, Now #6
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.982/268.12, Now #11

Weather conditions: air temperature 80 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 29.41 inches, adjusted altitude 2,645 feet.

Langdon with a nice pass to get into the top half of the show. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.137, 660ft-3.032/284.99 mph. Force started mixing up cylinders early and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.745/320.51, Now #3

This was a great drag race to wrap up round one of qualifying. They run identical E.T.s and Kalitta gets the position based on his faster speed. Kalitta goes to the number two spot and Brown to the number three spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.822 sec., 330ft-2.122, 660ft-2.997/288.52 mph.
Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.124, 660ft-2.999/288.27 mph.
