COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals:

Johnson Jr. is 6 - 5 against DeJoria in prior events.

DeJoria wasted a good one here. She hits the throttle a little too early and goes red, makes her quickest pass of the weekend, but gives the win to Johnson. Johnson gets about 200 feet out, strikes the tires and backs off the throttle.

Hight is 10 - 5 against Force in prior events.

Hight gets out of the gate first, makes it about 100 feet and goes up in smoke. Force goes right down the groove with another three second pass to take the win.

Courtney Force's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.035), 330 ft(0.637), 660ft(2.305). MOV: 4.2193 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Worsham gets out of the gate first, makes it through the tricky part of the track, but Hagan reels him in at the 330 foot mark. Hagan pulls ahead at that point and makes the quickest pass of the round so far to take the win.

Hagan will have lane choice over Force in the next round.

Capps is 26 - 15 against Beckman in prior events.

Beckman went into the sand trap last round but the team was able to get the car ready for this round.

The trip to the beach didn't seem to hurt Beckman's car, he goes right down the groove with another good pass to take the win. Capps makes a decent pass, almost pulls even at the 330 foot mark, then fell behind the rest of the way through the run.

Jack Beckman's incremental margins: 60ft(0.008), 330 ft(0.004), 660ft(0.010). MOV: 0.0189 seconds (approximately 9 feet).

Beckman will have lane choice over Johnson in the next round.
