Fri, 04 Dec 2015, 09:57 AM IHRA Announces 2016 Division 4 Renegades Summit Pro-Am Tour Schedule

The schedule for IHRA's Division 4 Summit Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL will include four stops; those stops include State Capitol Raceway, San Antonio Raceway, Memphis International Raceway and Pinevalley Raceway.

All events will feature a two race in one weekend format; Racers that finish within the top 3 in their divisional points will earn an automatic bid to the 2016 Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions at Memphis International Raceway in October.

"The 2015 season was no different as the last several years in that Division 4 remains a force to be reckon with as the number of world champions and top 10 finishers seem to always several in it," said Frank Kohutek, IHRA's Division 4 Director. "I am really looking forward to the 2016 season; we have a great schedule set and a racer friendly atmosphere that I am proud to be part of."

Kicking off the Division 4 Summit Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL season is State Capitol Raceway the weekend of March 18-20. This event will be part of the IHRA Drag Racing Series which will include a National event contingency claim on Saturday along with a division 4 points claim for all pro-am competitors. Sunday will have a second Pro-am event of the weekend.

San Antonio Raceway will host the second stop of the season on the weekend of April 1-3, this weekend will again be part of the IHRA Drag Racing Series which will have National event contingency for the sportsman winners and runner ups on Saturday night along with divisional points claim. Sunday will include the second pro-am event of the weekend.

The third stop of the schedule will be a Memphis International Raceway in Millington, Tennessee the weekend of June 3-5, this event is a wild card event which all competitors regardless of division can use this event as an in division claim.

The fourth and final stop of the Division 4 Summit Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL will be at Pinevalley Raceway the weekend of June 24-26. Bill Bailey and crew always provide a top notch facility and atmosphere and has become a favorite stop for many of Division 4 competitors.
