Lindberg and Lombardo Jr. have each won 1 times against the other in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round. Lindberg is looking for the win to go with his 2015 TAFC National Championship.

Lombardo gets the narrow starting line advantage and is just 0.001 ahead at sixty feet. Lindberg gets on by after that and holds him off until after the 1000 foot lights. Lombardo has the big speed and nips him in the lights by 13 inches for the hole shot win.

This is his sixth career win and his second one here.
