Left Lane: Doug Lambeck Runs 8.583/156.26/-0.297, Now #14; D/SMA Index: 8.88, Prior Best: 8.334/160.33/-0.546, Was #14

2:07 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 20 percent, barometer 28.87 inches, adjusted altitude 2521 feet, track temperature 98 degrees.

Field not filled, no bump spot. Much better full pass for Lee this time and he jumps right up to the new #2 spot.

Lambeck clicks it early and slows.

Left Lane: Ross Wilson Runs 8.268/151.22/-0.482, Now #13; C/SM Index: 8.75, Prior Best: 8.198/166.91/-0.552, Was #13
Right Lane: Ed Sigmon Runs 8.411/154.79/-0.539, Now #17; C/SR Index: 8.95, Prior Best: 8.997/109.16/0.047, Was #20

Sigmon's turn for a full pass and Wilson is off the pace.

Left Lane: Mark Lelchook Runs 9.174/99.36/1.264, Now #16; D/DA Index: 7.91, Prior Best: 7.371/178.87/-0.539, Was #16

More right lane issues, as Lelchook is off the throttle way early.

Huhtala is really consistent and picks up a thousandth to stay #4.

Left Lane: Ralph Van Paepeghem Runs 7.226/180.69/-0.594, Now #7; A/EA Index: 7.82, Prior Best: 7.248/181.57/-0.572, Was #9

Just 0.001 difference in their "under the index", but Van Paepeghem moves around Lamb

Left Lane: David Billingsley Runs 8.648/155.63/-0.622, Now #3; L/A Index: 9.27, Prior Best: 8.673/155.35/-0.597, Was #6

Billingsley did his home work and finds a bunch of power to move three spots up the ladder to the current #3 spot.

Snyder gets a full pass this time, with his speed better than the record number.

Left Lane: Randy Jones Runs 8.278/173.65/-0.072, Now #22; A/SM Index: 8.35, Prior Best: 17.818/50.48/9.468, Was #22

Greenheck slows a little and Jones picks up a bunch. They stay in their current spots.

Left Lane: David Rampy Runs 7.224/182.67/-0.596, Now #4; A/EA Index: 7.82, Prior Best: 7.210/170.51/-0.610, Was #4

Two nice passes and Mandella moves two spots up the ladder intro the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Raymond Martin Runs 7.647/169.51/-0.553, Now #11; K/AA Index: 8.20, Prior Best: 7.633/169.70/-0.567, Was #11

Both cars make full passes, but slow from session one.

Left Lane: Jeff Lane Runs 8.520/129.88/0.020, Now #15; B/SMA Index: 8.50, Prior Best: 7.958/169.04/-0.542, Was #15

Lanes car drives hard out of the groove at the green and he has to horse the Cobalt back into the middle of the lane. He is off the throttle early.

McClay slows just a tad.

Left Lane: Steve Graham Runs 7.351/163.95/-0.509, Now #18; C/A Index: 7.86, Prior Best: 7.336/167.30/-0.524, Was #18
Right Lane: Ray Skillman Runs 7.581/176.26/-0.589, Now #6; B/EA Index: 8.17, Prior Best: 7.569/176.56/-0.601, Was #6

Both passes are without drama, but slow in the less favorable conditions.

Right Lane: Dan Fletcher Runs 7.996/168.24/-0.604, Now #6; C/EA Index: 8.60, Prior Best: 8.034/151.10/-0.566, Was #12

Fletcher hits the tree with a 0.009 light and then runs the car to the lights this time. That's good enough for six spots on the ladder and the number six spot.

2:19 p.m. Greenheck is still number one. Field not filled, no bump spot.
