Doushgounian gets out of the gate first and starts to pull away. he stays in front past half track, then bangs the blower. Lindberg goes around him and makes the seventh quickest run in history to take the win.

Bellemeur gets out of the gate first, drifts a little to the left, but keeps it under control and and makes another good run, tied for the second fastest in history. He set the national record for speed in the third round of qualifying.

Sean Bellemeur's incremental margins: 60ft(0.057), 330 ft(0.083), 660ft(0.103), 1,000ft(0.123). MOV: 0.1438 seconds (approximately 56 feet).

Westerfield gets a big holeshot, Gordon starts reeling him in quickly, but soon runs out of race track.

Payne and Lombardo Jr. have each won 2 times against the other in prior events.

Payne gets off the line first but Lombardo reels him in quickly and goes around him before they reach the sixty foot mark. Lombardo continues to extend his lead and pulls away with the fourth quickest pass in history, a career best ET and speed, and also sets the national speed record in the process.

Lombardo will have lane choice over Bellemeur in the next round.
