CONCORD, N.C. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Eighth annual NHRA Carolina Nationals:

This is the first time Satterfield and alBalooshi have faced each other in eliminations. Satterfield with the starting line advantage, but then shakes the tires and clicks it off. alBalooshi was straight down the groove to go to the semifinal.

Coughlin is 2 - 0 against Latino in prior events. Coughlin with the starting line advantage, Coughlin's engine started to go away and then there was big fire on the top end. Latino grabbed the lead around 200 feet and never trailed from there on for the win. Latino will have lane choice over alBalooshi in the semifinal.

This is the first time Rowe and Whiteley have faced each other in eliminations. Whiteley with the slight starting line advantage and then had severe tire shake and clicked it off. Rowe os straight down the groove for the win.

This is the first time Glidden and Whiteley have faced each other in eliminations. Glidden with the starting line advantage, but Whiteley has the lead by 330 feet and never trailed from there on for the win. He will have lane choice over Rowe in the semifinal.
