CONCORD, N.C. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Eighth annual NHRA Carolina Nationals:

Fox goes up in smooke early, pedals once, then gives up on the run.

Tedesco boils the hides at the hit and has to give up on the run quickly. Allen makes a decent pass, his second quickest of the weekend.

Callaway has traction problems at the hit and is out of the throttle early. Hart makes the quickest pass of the round so far to take the win.

Tatum gets out of the gate first, then makes his quickest pass of the weekend as he pulls away from Meyer.

Tatum will have lane choice over Shields in the next round.

Stalba was unable to get the engine to start and did not make a pass. Bradshaw made a clean, straight pass to move on to the next round.

Morris hazes the tires right off the line, recovers, but is falling behind at that point. Booher goes right down the groove with a clean pass to take the win.

Hart will have lane choice over Booher in the next round.

Thacker makes a clean pass but will give up lane choice to Bradshaw in the next round.
