Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.17 inches, adjusted altitude 3,562 feet, track temperature 119 degrees.

Kalitta with the starting line advantage, but at 330 feet Millican had the lead, but then started to haze the tires. Kalitta with the lead at half track and then he hazed the tires on the top end but holds on for the win.

Brown with the starting line advantage and never trailed as Crampton was up in smoke early. Brown with the quickest pass of the day and he will have lane choice over Kalitta in the final.
