By David Gerard

BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 61st annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 7.429/154.26, Now #2; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Lance Bonham Runs 7.517/178.97, Now #3; No Prior Run

2:49 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 53 percent, barometer 29.20 inches, adjusted altitude 3,659 feet, track temperature 115 degrees.

Redell Harris is number one at 7.224 and Field not filled, no bump spot.

Bonham is away first and has some good low end number, but DeSantis has better numbers down the track.

The bike starts to move out of the groove around the 1000 foot lights. He keeps trying to lean it back into the groove and he is off the bike right after the lights. It looked like the bike peg may have hooked in and shot the bike into the wall. He is quickly up and moving around. He is OK... the bike? Not so much!

Joe DeSantis' incremental times: 60ft-1.199 sec., 330ft-3.097, 660ft-4.692/153.06 mph, 1,000ft-6.102.
