BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 61st annual Chevrolet Performance
U.S. Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.224/181.23, Now #1
Right Lane: Lance Bonham No Time, Now #2
7:27 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 29.12 inches, adjusted
altitude 3,478 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.After a long 45 minute delay for showers, we are finally ready to start Pro
qualifying. 12 Bikes will qualify tonight.
Bonham leaves before the green and won't get any times.
Harris gets some
times, but they are not likely to stay in the field for long.
Redell Harris' incremental times: 60ft-1.110 sec., 330ft-2.989,
660ft-4.595/152.28 mph, 1,000ft-6.003.
NOTE:
7:29 p.m. As the next two bikes started towards the water box, Mother
Nature decided to provide a little extra moisture on the track. Not heavy, but on and off. At 7:45pm, all of the bikes were sent
back to the pits.
9:11 p.m. It was just announced that this session is cancelled due to continuing rain.
