In two different awards ceremonies held in one weekend, Summit Motorsports Park was named Track of
the Year.
The first announcement was delivered at the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) Awards Ceremony
on Dec. 12, 2014 at the Indiana Convention Center, with track manager Kurt Johnson accepting on
behalf of the track. The second announcement was delivered at the National Hot Rod Association
(NHRA) North Central Division Awards Banquet on Dec. 13, 2014 at the Wyndham Indianapolis West,
with track president Bill Bader, Jr. accepting on behalf of the track.
This marks the fifteenth time the well-known and well-respected track has received Track of the
Year honors, including six times by the NHRA (2008, 2010-2014), two times by the NMCA (2013 and
2014) and seven times by the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA), when it was an
IHRA-sanctioned track.

"To be honored as Track of the Year is flattering," said a beaming Bader, Jr., who recently
declared 2014 as one of the most successful seasons in the track's long history. "The fact that
it's voted on by the racing community is humbling and extra-special. We don't do what we do for
awards, but rather because it's right."
The 2015 season at the fabled facility features everything from 8000-horsepower cars to fireworks
and begins on April 18 with the 34th running of the Spring Warm Up. NMCA- and NHRA-related events
include the 9th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, July 2-5, the 9th Annual Mickey Mart
Rewards Cavalcade of Stars, May 15-17 and the 14th Annual NMCA World Street Finals featuring the
Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series, August 27-30.
Summit Motorsports Park is at 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio. For more information, please
