Every year, hundreds of eager bracket races gather at the prestigious K&N Spring Fling at Bristol Dragway's famed Thunder Valley to take a shot at over $200,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes. Over the past five years, this event has grown in stature and prestige, becoming the event everyone looks forward to.

In 2015, the K&N Spring Fling at Bristol will again be a five day event from May 12-17 and will kick things off on Tuesday with a test and tune along with the Super Tuesday Dragster shootout. A slight change in the format from last year will have four featured races (instead of five) to be run on Wednesday to Saturday. Wednesday will feature a $15,000 to win event while Thursday, Friday and Saturday will feature the three traditional $20,000-to-win main events. As always, all purses are 100% guaranteed by promoters, Peter Biondo and Kyle Seipel. The Spring Fling "a vehicle can only go down the track once per round" rule will again be in effect for 2015.

Sunday will be left open for a cleanup/rain date or travel day. Biondo explains, "The value to racers in the slight change to the 2015 format of having four main event races and five days to complete them gives us more opportunity to get all races completed in full and give our Spring Fling racers the track time they deserve. It also brings the overall entry fee down which I believe will be welcomed by racers."

Biondo went on to say, "We have the facility rented for Sunday as well, and if we need to complete one of the earlier week's races, we can do so on that day. It also gives racers a possible Sunday travel day so they could get to work fresh on Monday morning."

In addition to the actual racing, a huge points fund is in place sponsored by Wiseco Pistons which pays $5,000 to the points champion in addition to paying back five places. As has been the tradition, all races are run at the 'Fling's patented 1,000' Compromise which benefits both quarter- and eighth-mile racers, and door cars will be run separate from dragsters until the ladder round. Extra perks come in the form of an outstanding $50,000 in racer appreciation giveaways along with the Spring Fling $20,000 Challenge which awards 20 randomly chosen drivers who record "double-0" or "triple-0" reaction times with even more money.

To add to the excitement of the main events, 32 door cars will be randomly selected to take part in the Steve Schmidt Competition Engines $10k-to-win Door Car Shootout on Thursday night along with Sparco's traditional Racer Appreciation Party on Friday Night.

Co-promoter Seipel said, "Come join us in May for some guaranteed fun and some of the best racing of the year at the beautiful Bristol Dragway. You could be the next K&N Spring Fling Champion!"
