Martin Brown representing Division 4 from Tulsa Raceway Park. This is Brown's second trip to Pomona, he competed in 2006. Gordon Rust representing Division 6 from Pacific Raceways.

Rust with the starting line advantage and then takes just a little too much strip to give Brown the win. Brown will face Crutcher in the semifinal.
