POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.848/160.75, Now #13; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 28.94 inches, adjusted altitude 2,410 feet, track temperature 92 degrees.

Anderson made a quick move toward the wall and he reeled it in the groove and then clicked it off early.


Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 7.004/142.21, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Jonathan Gray Runs 6.543/211.83, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.555/211.46, Was #8

Nobile was on a good looking pass and then clicked it off...Gray with a good looking pass, straight down the groove to move up the ladder. Jonathan Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.215/167.80 mph, 1,000ft-5.479.

Left Lane: Jeff Isbell Runs 6.724/206.80, Now #13; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.539/211.33, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.550/211.03, Was #8

Isbell with his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number 13 spot. Johnson with his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number five spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.743, 660ft-4.210/167.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.474.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.601/209.85, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.583/209.30, Was #11

Morgan will not improve here...Grose pushes in the clutch early.

Stanfield pushed in the clutch early and goes to the number 15 spot. Hartford with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.226/166.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.494.

Brogdon with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.218/167.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.484.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.547/211.73, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.547/211.49, Was #7
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.561/211.00, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.548/210.70, Was #8

Connolly matches his E.T. from yesterday and he will stay in the number seven spot. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.222/168.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.484. McGaha with another good pass, but will not improve. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.224/167.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.534/211.89, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.538/211.13, Was #4
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.517/212.19, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.532/211.46, Was #3

Coughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number four spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.745, 660ft-4.210/168.20 mph, 1,000ft-5.470. Line launched hard and was straight down the groove with the quickest pass of the event to go to the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.729, 660ft-4.195/168.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.455.

Left Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.527/212.03, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.526/211.99, Was #3
Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.528/211.79, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.522/211.26, Was #2

Enders-Stevens makes a quick move toward the centerline, but reels it in and makes the second quickest pass of the round and will get two points. She will lose one point to Line in the Countdown to the Championship point standing, but still leads by 18 points. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.739, 660ft-4.202/168.30 mph, 1,000ft-5.463. Gray with a real nice pass with the third quickest pass of the round. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.730, 660ft-4.199/167.59 mph, 1,000ft-5.463.
