POMONA, Calif. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 50th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed this round, amount over/under index this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time, speed & over/under Index, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Mark Lelchook Runs 7.401/177.18/-0.519, Now #13; D/ED Index: 7.92, Prior Best: 7.378/177.60/-0.542, Was #13
Right Lane: Tyler Hogan Runs 7.056/187.76/-0.484, Now #21; C/DA Index: 7.54, Prior Best: 7.075/188.07/-0.465, Was #22

9:37 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 28.93 inches, adjusted altitude 2,273 feet, track temperature 70 degrees.

Mihovetz is number one at -0.900 under and Field not filled, no bump spot.

Hogan picks up a spot, but Lelchook slows a tad.

Just a 0.007 improvement for Bowdish, but two spots on the ladder. Both cars run faster, but Skillman can't match yesterday's ET's.

Van Paepeghem picks up just 0.001 and both cars stay in their current positions.

Left Lane: Jim Greenheck Runs 7.293/186.18/-0.577, Now #7; C/AA Index: 7.87, Prior Best: 7.289/186.48/-0.581, Was #7
Right Lane: Joe Mozeris Runs 7.031/189.95/-0.439, Now #22; B/ED Index: 7.47, Prior Best: 7.000/190.14/-0.470, Was #22

No improvements.

Keilers has struggled this weekend and once again, he is off the power early and slowly coasting. He won't get a time.

Lambeck slows.

We finally get some good improvements! Wilson powers into the sixty under range and into the #3 spot.

Full pass for Ross and a two spot move up the ladder.

Carter make a huge move up the ladder into the top half of the field into the number eight spot.

No improvement for Hedlund.

Mihovetz finds the limits this time and slows. Fletcher is done early too.

Wheels up leave for Lane and then is off the throttle right before the lights.

Ellis is close to his prior best.

Edwards continues to improve and moves seven spots up the ladder on a clean pass.

Strong is off the pedal down track.
