LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Fuel Harley at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, Short Line Express Market Gambler Shootout listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Dan Ramage Runs 7.768/166.81, Now #1
Right Lane: Al Miles Runs 8.399/145.48, Now #2

5:04 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 27.95 inches, adjusted altitude 3,815 feet, track temperature 85 degrees.

Miles drifted to the left, got very close to the centerline, then backed off the throttle late in the run. Ramage made a decent pass.

Left Lane: Lloyd Stenerson Runs 8.657/153.58, Now #4
Right Lane: David Larson Runs 8.005/152.40, Now #2

Larson was on a decent pass but was off the throttle early. Stenerson was falling behind all the way through the run.

Left Lane: Janette Thornley Runs 7.508/170.11, Now #2
Right Lane: William Bentz Runs 7.267/173.25, Now #1

Bentz makes a good pass to move into the top spot. Thornley makes a clean pass to move into the second spot.

Left Lane: Johnny Vickers Runs 7.394/175.59, Now #2
Right Lane: Evan Barsness Runs 8.318/161.30, Now #6

Vickers makes a clean pass and gets in the field in the second spot. Barsness was falling behind all the way through the run.
