2:40 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 61 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 29.28 inches, adjusted altitude 1,264 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Meyer was out of the gate first but smoked the rear tires at 330 feet. Shields had a clean run and pulled away to take the win and move on to the final round of eliminations.

Lewis launched and smoked the tires coming off the starting line. Demke shook the rear tires hard at mid track and the chutes came out. After that, the only question was whether or not the coasting Demke could get to the finish line before the coasting Lewis. Demke got the win but gave up lane choice to Shields in the next round.
