MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 30th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Dom Lagana Runs 3.867/315.86, Now #2
Right Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 3.788/325.30, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 29.35 inches, adjusted altitude 2,629 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

Lagana with a good clean pass to start the weekend, straight down the groove. Dom Lagana's incremental times: 60ft-0.859 sec., 330ft-2.194, 660ft-3.107/279.61 mph. Dixon launched hard and was straight down the groove with a great pass. Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.147, 660ft-3.043/284.99 mph.

Left Lane: Leah Pritchett Runs 3.821/316.52, Now #2
Right Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 3.904/318.39, Now #4

Pritchett with a nice pass to go to the number two spot. Leah Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.152, 660ft-3.060/279.09 mph. McMillen with a good clean pass to start the weekend. Terry McMillen's incremental times: 60ft-0.870 sec., 330ft-2.214, 660ft-3.140/275.51 mph.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 8.933/82.47, Now #5
Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 10.744/70.94, Now #6

Millican loses traction right at the hit. Vandergriff is up in smoke as soon as he hits the throttle.

Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 4.894/144.06, Now #6
Right Lane: Richie Crampton Runs 3.814/317.49, Now #2

Force started to smoke the tires just before half track and clicked it off. Crampton with a real nice pass until n the shut down area when the engine lets go. He made great pass until then to go to the number two spot. Richie Crampton's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.157, 660ft-3.058/282.42 mph.

Left Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 3.834/316.82, Now #5
Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.824/320.13, Now #4

This was a really good side-by-side drag race. Massey is running the Odyssey Battery colors this weekend. He is straight down the groove to go to the number four spot. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.848 sec., 330ft-2.155, 660ft-3.068/279.96 mph. alBalooshi was right there with him to go to the number five spot. Khalid alBalooshi's incremental times: 60ft-0.845 sec., 330ft-2.171, 660ft-3.076/281.83 mph.

Left Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 4.806/149.33, Now #9
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 4.364/180.72, Now #8

Todd starts to lose traction before half track and clicks it off. Kalitta makes it a little farther down track before he starts to lose traction and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.853/316.01, Now #7
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.820/323.04, Now #3

Brown with the Tool for a cause Pink lettering Matco car. He makes a nice pass to go to the number seven spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.177, 660ft-3.088/278.46 mph. Torrence launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to then number three spot. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.159, 660ft-3.068/280.43 mph.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.810/311.77, Now #3
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.766/324.67, Now #1

This was a great drag race to wrap up round one. Langdon to the number three spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.142, 660ft-3.044/281.30 mph. Schumacher the point leader with a great pass to go straight to the top of the list. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.828 sec., 330ft-2.128, 660ft-3.022/290.76 mph.
