MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Third annual AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 16.690/48.68, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 40 percent, barometer 29.71 inches, adjusted altitude 2,750 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Stevens blew the tires off right at the hit and clicked it off.
