ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 29.52 inches, adjusted altitude 3,200 feet, track temperature 120 degrees.

Anderson is 42 - 39 against Coughlin in prior events. They leave together with Anderson getting the slight advantage and then Coughlin's car broke and Anderson makes his quickest and fastest of the weekend for the win and runs top speed of the event.

Connolly is 1 - 0 against Tucker in prior events. Tucker rolled the beam and turned on the red light. Connolly got loose, but reeled it in for the easy win.

This is the first time Stanfield and Nobile have faced each other in eliminations. Stanfield was out of the gate first and then made a move toward the centerline before he lifted. Nobile with his quickest and fastest pass of the weekend for the win.

Jonathan Gray became the third member of his family to win an NHRA national event. The Gray's become the 14th family to have three winners to their credit. Gray is 2 - 0 against Gaines in prior events. Gray with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Gray with his quickest and fastest pass of the weekend for the win. He will have lane choice over Enders-Stevens in the next round. Gaines with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Johnson is 4 - 0 against Hartford in prior events. Hartford with the starting line advantage and had a lot of tire chatter before he made a move toward the centerline and clicked it off. Johnson with tire shake right at the hit, but was able to drive through it and makes a great looking pass. Johnson with his quickest and fastest pass for the win. He will have lane choice over Connolly in the next round.
