ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.875/318.39, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.790/322.11, Was #6
Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 4.502/189.18, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.814/320.89, Was #8

Weather conditions: air temperature 95 degrees, relative humidity 37 percent, barometer 29.37 inches, adjusted altitude 3,704 feet, track temperature 142 degrees.

Schumacher is straight down the groove with another good looking pass, but he will not improve. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.175, 660ft-3.107/279.32 mph. Massey was up in smoke early in the run and clicked it off, and he will not improve.

Lucas starts to lose traction around half track and clicks it off, he will stay in the number 15 spot.

McMillen is up in smoke by 330 feet and clicked it off.

Crampton is past the half track mark almost to the 660-foot mark before he start to haze the tires.

Right Lane: Troy Buff Runs 3.965/296.50, Now #15; No Prior Run

Torrence with a clean pass, but he will not improve. He makes the second quickest pass of the session. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.199, 660ft-3.145/268.54 mph. Buff is straight down the groove to get in the show and that bumps out Kinsley. Troy Buff's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.168, 660ft-3.147/257.48 mph.

Right Lane: Clay Millican No Time, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.563/89.90, Was #19

Langdon slowed on the top end and he will not improve. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.843 sec., 330ft-2.183, 660ft-3.126/269.29 mph. Millican with problems right at the hit and came to stop around 200 feet down track.

Vandergriff launched hard and was straight down the groove with the second quickest pass of the round, he will stay in the number three spot. Bob Vandergriff's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.201, 660ft-3.133/274.72 mph. force starts to haze the tires around 300 feet and she tried to drive through and never got it to hook up, smoking them all the way down track. She will not get in the show.

Kalitta with a great looking pass, the second quickest of the round and he will stay in the number two spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.850 sec., 330ft-2.190, 660ft-3.123/275.00 mph. Brown slowed on the top end...Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.839 sec., 330ft-2.171, 660ft-3.123/259.96 mph.

Right Lane: Larry Dixon Runs 3.920/296.50, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.819/324.20, Was #10

Todd launched hard and keep it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make the quickest pass of the round. He will qualify number one for the fifth tim in his career and the second race in a row. J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.184, 660ft-3.107/278.00 mph. Dixon with another good looking pass and he will start from the number 10 spot. Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.837 sec., 330ft-2.172, 660ft-3.110/267.22 mph.
