ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.255/173.21, Now #16; No Prior Run

2:57 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 92 degrees, relative humidity 43 percent, barometer 29.38 inches, adjusted altitude 3,537 feet, track temperature 137 degrees.

Harris makes a clean pass and gets in the field on the bump for now.

Right Lane: Michael Ray Runs 7.123/188.44, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.133/182.70, Was #15

Ray improves a little but stays in the 15th spot.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.054/188.12, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.993/190.62, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.013/190.46, Was #13

Gann makes a clean pass and gets in the field in the 14th spot for now. Tonglet improves and moves up a spot in the order.

Left Lane: Freddie Camarena Runs 7.086/191.10, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.100/188.62, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.008/192.66, Was #13

Camarena goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend and gets in the field in the 15th spot. Arana drifted toward the centerline, had to lean over to the right, and he slows from his earlier attempts.

Left Lane: Jerry Savoie Runs 6.941/192.85, Now #5; Best prior run: 32.350/23.23, Was #20
Right Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 7.001/190.97, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.988/187.50, Was #11

Savoie makes his quickest pass of the weekend and goes all the way to the fifth spot. Sampey doesn't improve and drops a spot as Savoie moves up.

Left Lane: David Barron Runs 7.450/178.05, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.481/176.03, Was #20
Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.993/189.55, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.983/189.47, Was #11

Barron improves but doesn't make the field. Smith makes a clean pass but doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.100/187.21, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.096/188.33, Was #17
Right Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.972/192.41, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.975/188.96, Was #10

Berry slows from his earlier attempt and does not make the show. Pollacheck improves and moves up a spot to ninth.

Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.960/193.27, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.974/191.57, Was #10

Arana has problems late in the run and backs off the throttle. Smith improves and moves up to the seventh spot.

Right Lane: John Hall Runs 6.936/174.93, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.922/192.38, Was #4

Arana Jr. goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the round so far. Hall makes a clean pass but doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Chaz Kennedy Runs 6.987/190.73, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.951/192.22, Was #6
Right Lane: Steve Johnson No Time, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.907/193.32, Was #3

Johnson breaks right off the line and comes to a stop about 100 feet out. Kennedy makes a clean pass but doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.904/193.74, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.961/191.00, Was #8
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.862/194.46, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.841/194.83, Was #1

Hines makes his quickest pass oif the weekend and moves up to the third spot. Krawiec makes a clean pass but doesn't improve.
