BRAINERD, Minn. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 33rd annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 28.99 inches, adjusted altitude 2,482 feet, track temperature 103 degrees. Brand moved to the right of the groove at about 400 feet. He couldn't get the car back into the groove and he had to lift. A good looking pass for McVey.

Scott McVey's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.584, 660ft-3.833/198.50 mph, 1,000ft-4.896.
Dale Brand's incremental times: 60ft-0.958 sec., 330ft-2.577, 660ft-3.992/160.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.343. McVey wins his first National event Wally in his first National event final. Finnally the Brainerd race is in the books.
