POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 54th annual Circle K NHRA Winternationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Derik Milanesio Runs 6.051/214.59, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 29.01 inches, adjusted altitude 1,855 feet, track temperature 76 degrees.

The Alky Dragsters making their first runs of the weekend. Milanesio clicked it off early.
