NORWALK, Ohio -- Continuing in the trend of adding new and exciting race programs for sportsman racers at all levels, the International Hot Rod AssociationT (IHRA) is excited to announce the debut of a brand new race for No Box racers in 2014 called the No-Box Fab 5's.

The No-Box Fab 5's will take place February 28-March 2 at Dallas Raceway and will feature two $5,000 to win races for No Box racers. Entry to this special event is only $99 per day and, as an added bonus, racers that purchase an entry to Saturday's race will get free entry to Sunday's race creating a two for one value that is unheard of in big money races.

Payout for the No Box Fab 5's is $5,000 to win both days and will payout through the eighths. All purses are guaranteed with no minimum entries. The race will be contested on the 1/8 mile with no ET limit and delay boxes are prohibited.

All IHRA and NHRA licenses and certifications will be accepted.

"We are always looking to create new and exciting events for our racers and I think this is another great addition to our 2014 sportsman lineup," said Skooter Peaco, Vice President of IHRA Motorsports. "Two $5,000 events for the price of one should be a big hit for the No Box racers."

Gates will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 28 and will feature a test and tune Friday evening. Racing will get underway both Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. with one time run followed immediately by eliminations.
