POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Summit Bike at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

Chad Isley from Charleston, Ill. representing So. Georgia Motorsports Park and Division 2. This is his third trip to Pomona, also in 2008 and 2010 where he was a runner up both times.

Craig Adams from Brunswick, Ohio representing Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park and Division 3.

Adams with the starting line advantage, but Isley gets the win by 0.0936 seconds (approximately 15 feet).

John Fitzpatrick from Park City, Kan. representing Thunder Valley Raceway Park and Division 4.

Jeff Havens from Yakima, Wash. representing Renegade Raceway and Division 6. This is the second year in a row in Pomona. His son won Sundays Division 6 finals.

Tom Medlin from La Mirada, Calif. representing Barona and Division 7. He is a three-time Division Champion in the Sportsman Motorcycle Series presented by Harley-Davidson He also was the Division 7 ET Racer of the Year in 2011.

Jon Haner from Wichita, Kan. representing Kansas Int'l Dragway and Division 5.

Medlin is too quick on the tree snd turns on the red light. Haner will face Fitzpatrick in the semifinal.
