POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Summit Super Pro at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 80 degrees, relative humidity 19 percent, barometer 28.94 inches, adjusted altitude 2,870 feet, track temperature 102 degrees.

Mike Argoe from Middletown, Del. representing Cecil County Dragway and Division 1. He had been to the Division 1 Summit Series final finals multiple time and got the win this year. His son Austin won High School Eliminator, and was the 2012 Division 1 Jr. Drag Racing Champion.

Kyle White from Moore, Okia., representing Thunder Valley Raceway Park and Division 4. First year in a dragster, won the 2011 National Dragster Challenge and this is his first trip ever to California.

Argoe was just a couple ticks too quick on the tree and turned on the red light.

Edmond Richardson from Greenbrier, Tenn. representing Music City Raceway and Division 2. He was the 2011 National Champion in Sportsman and is a three-time NHRA Summit Division Champion.

Adam Cline from Franklin, Ky. representing Beech Bend Raceway Park and Division 3.

Cline with the starting line advantage, but then took too much stripe and broke out. Richardson will face White in the semifinal.

Percival is too quick on the tree and turns on the red light.
