MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 29th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 6.135/110.06, Now #1

2:34 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 29.45 inches, adjusted altitude 2,842 feet, track temperature 103 degrees.

Torrence smoked the rear tires at 300 feet and pedaled the rest of the way down the track.

Left Lane: Sidnei Frigo Runs 3.961/301.81, Now #1
Right Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 4.781/152.19, Now #2

Frigo with a good pass to start the weekend. Sidnei Frigo's incremental times: 60ft-0.895 sec., 330ft-2.229, 660ft-3.168/270.00 mph. Pruett starts to haze the tires and clicks it off.

Bernstein is up in smoke early and clicks it off and Grubnic is up in smoke right off the starting line and clicks it off.

Torrence is up in smoke just past the 330-foot mark and clicked it off. Vandergriff is up in smoke just before the 330-foot mark.

Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.814/323.66, Now #1

alBalooshi with a great looking pass to start the weekend and go to the number three spot. Khalid alBalooshi's incremental times: 60ft-0.852 sec., 330ft-2.176, 660ft-3.099/277.72 mph. Millican launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.159, 660ft-3.063/281.07 mph.
