Pollacheck gets off the line first and starts pulling away. He gets about 300 feet out, the bike sounds like it fails to shift, and he sits up on the bike. Tonglet drove around him quickly and pulled away for the win.

Ray and Smith have each won 2 times against the other in prior events.

Ray leaves a little too early and hands the win to Smith. Smith goes right down the groove and will have lane choice over Tonglet in the final round.
