MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Second annual AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Dave River Runs 6.798/204.79, Now #2
Right Lane: Buddy Perkinson Runs 6.584/211.49, Now #1

Perkinson was straight down the groove with real nice pass to start the weekend. Buddy Perkinson's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.256/167.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.520. River with his quickest pass of the season and his career fastest pass. Dave River's incremental times: 60ft-1.027 sec., 330ft-2.861, 660ft-4.385/161.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.696.

Left Lane: Mark Hogan Runs 6.749/203.43, Now #3
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.639/209.98, Now #2

Hogan was straight down the groove. Mark Hogan's incremental times: 60ft-1.041 sec., 330ft-2.852, 660ft-4.365/159.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.654. Johnson with a good clean pass to start the weekend. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.020 sec., 330ft-2.807, 660ft-4.290/166.44 mph, 1,000ft-5.566.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.986/198.06, Now #6
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.622/209.52, Now #2

Hartford with a good clean pass. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-1.007 sec., 330ft-2.788, 660ft-4.270/166.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.547. Kramer slowed on the top end.

Left Lane: Steve Kent Runs 6.638/209.82, Now #4
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.615/208.88, Now #2

Kent with a clean pass to start the weekend. Steve Kent's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.279/165.60 mph, 1,000ft-5.560. Stanfield goes to the number two spot with a clean pass. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.769, 660ft-4.256/165.88 mph, 1,000ft-5.536.

Left Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.564/212.16, Now #1
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.606/209.04, Now #3

A couple nice looking passes with Jones going to the number one spot. Rickie Jones' incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.238/168.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.500. Brogdon with a clean pass to start the weekend. Anderson gets into the top half of the show...Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.248/167.34 mph, 1,000ft-5.516.

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.590/210.87, Now #5
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.567/211.23, Now #2

Nobile with a god pass to get into the top half of the show. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.776, 660ft-4.252/167.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.521. Gaines launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number two spot. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.768, 660ft-4.237/167.86 mph, 1,000ft-5.501.

Left Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.562/211.36, Now #2
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.556/210.90, Now #1

This was a great drag race as these two go to the top of the list. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.230/170.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.
Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.224/167.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.489.

These two were side-by-side all the way down the track, they both get into the top half of the show. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.236/167.34 mph, 1,000ft-5.504.
