ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 28th annual AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals:

Pedregon is 13 - 6 against Tasca III in prior events.

Pedregon is sixth in the points, just seven points behind John Force and nine behind Capps who has already lost today.

Tasca pulls in and turns on both bulbs. Pedregon stages, gets off the line first, then starts pulling away. Tasca makes a decent pass but was falling behind at every marker.

With the win Pedregon goes ahead of Capps and will have to wait and see what Force does this round.

Hight is 11 - 7 against Gray in prior events.

Hight is on a roll with nine rounds wins in a row.

Gray gets off the line first and stays out in front to the sixty foot mark. he loses traction about 100 feet out and starts to pedal. Hight goes ahead, gets about 300 feet out and starts hazing the tires. he pedals a couple of times, gets the slicks to bite, and pulls away for the win.

Robert Hight's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.012), 330 ft(0.119), 660ft(0.257). MOV: 0.7498 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Force is 60 - 26 against Pedregon in prior events.

Is just two points behind Capps in the points and needs this win to stay in front of Cruz Pedregon who has already won this round.

Force gets a small advantage off the line and starts to pull away. Pedregon gets about 400 feet out, starts hazing the tires, then has to pedal and finally backs off the throttle. Force goes right down the groove to take the win and go around Capps in the points race.

Hagan and Beckman have each won 10 times against the other in prior events.

Hagan is number one in points, Beckman is in third behind Hight.

Hagan gets out of the gate first, gets about 400 feet out and loses traction. Beckman drives around him quickly and pulls ahead for good before they reach the 660 foot mark.

Jack Beckman's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.082), 330 ft(-0.070), 660ft(0.097). MOV: 0.2856 seconds (more than 100 feet).
