ENNIS, Texas -- Showers Persistent rain showers forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday's qualifying for the 28th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex. NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series qualifying will get underway with the first of two sessions Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

Rain showers moved into the area Friday before Pro Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel qualifying sessions began. Gates will open at 8 a.m. Qualifying rounds are set for Saturday at 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Sunday's final eliminations are scheduled for 11 a.m. The race is the second of six in the NHRA's Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Texas Motorplex will honor all Friday tickets and will upgrade all Friday tickets to Saturday or Sunday southside tickets with a pit pass. Fans can bring their Friday tickets to the front gate and exchange them instantly for a Saturday or Sunday southside ticket with a pit pass.
