CONCORD, N.C. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual Carlyle Tools NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by NAPA Auto Parts:

Beckman is 13 - 5 against Pedregon in prior events.

Pedregon got his first round win of the year earlier and has lane choice here.

Pedregon got off the line first, then lost a cylinder and drifted toward the wall. Beckman was out in front by the time they reached the sixty foot mark, then pulled away for the win with his quickest pass of the weekend.

Beckman moves into fourth place in the points with the win.

This was a good side-by-side here. They come off the line together, then Force gets a small lead. Capps goes back in front at the 330 foot mark, stays in front through the 660, then Force goes around him just before the finish line.

Courtney Force's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.004), 330 ft(-0.015), 660ft(-0.007). MOV: 0.0027 seconds (approximately 15 inches).

Hight gets a big advantage off the line and never trailed. He goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the day to take the win.

He will have lane choice over Courtney Force in the next round.

Force is 8 - 7 against Hagan in prior events.

Force gets the hole-shot but that was about all. hagan reeled him in before they reached the sixty foot mark and pulled away for the win.

Hagan will have lane choice over Beckman in the next round.

With Force losing here, Beckman moves up to third in front of Force.
