Left Lane: Cassie Simonton Runs 6.809/107.61, Now #8; Best prior run: 10.255/123.24, Was #9

2:44 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 39 percent, barometer 29.16 inches, adjusted altitude 3,445 feet.

Simonton drifted to the right, then back to the left, then the car nosed over about 800 feet out.

Left Lane: Marie Ferriolo Runs 16.124/49.58, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.754/247.43, Was #6
Right Lane: John Headley Runs 7.926/122.74, Now #10; No Prior Run

Ferriolo stumbled off the line and backed off the throttle early. Headley moved a little to the left early, then backed off the throttle just past half track, not sure why.

Left Lane: Fred Tigges Runs 10.420/127.74, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.713/252.85, Was #5
Right Lane: Mickey Ferro Runs 5.597/262.39, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.806/258.17, Was #7

Tigges went up in smoke at the hit and had ti give up on the run. Ferro went right down the groove with his quickest pass this year to move into the second spot for now.

Left Lane: Shane Westerfield Runs 5.633/257.38, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.691/256.26, Was #4
Right Lane: Todd Veney Runs 5.666/255.58, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.692/254.52, Was #5

Two good passes, both right down the groove with their quickest passes of the day. Westerfield moves up to the third spot, Veney stays in the fifth.

Left Lane: Frank Manzo Runs 18.743/25.33, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.535/261.62, Was #1
Right Lane: Dan Pomponio Runs 5.631/258.22, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.650/256.31, Was #4

Manzo strikes the tires at the hit and has to back off the throttle. Pomponio improves and moves up a notch to third.
