This will be the 6th time that the #1 and 2 qualifiers have faced each other in the TAFC final round and five of them have involved Frank Manzo. In the previous five races the top qualifier has won four times.

Manzo extends his national event final round consecutive win streak to 41 and adds his 11th U.S. Nationals win to the list. Whiteley never led and Mnzo was stretching his lead all the way down the track.
