KERRVILLE, Texas -- The excitement is building for the new 10.5 Outlaw class with the X-DRL announcing the purse pay-out
for this popular class. The winner earns $5,000; runner-up $1,500; two semi-finalist $750/each and
four quarter-finalists will bring home $500 each. Entry fee will be $350 with no membership required.
The rules package will mirror those developed by Cecil County Dragway and will be followed without
exception. This class will not be eligible for championship points for the 2013 season.
X-DRL President Jeff Mitchell is excited about the addition of this class and the changes made to the
sportsmen classes for MIR, "We are expecting a great 10.5 car count at MIR and we think the fans are
going to enjoy this class. With additional support coming from Pat Musi for the Mickey Thompson Top
Sportsman competitors and ATI Performance Parts joining in Top Dragster, we think the Mayhem at the
Creek is going to be a great show, one that you won't want to miss!"
Pat Musi brings additional support to the Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class by paying half of the
entry fee. ATI has stepped up to do the same for the Top Dragster. In addition, the X-DRL has waived
membership requirements and honored IHRA chassis certifications and licenses.
Royce Miller is excited about the X-DRL's first appearance at Budds Creek, "We were glad the X-DRL is
able to allow the IHRA chassis and licenses in the sportsman classes and know the sponsorships will
help more competitors participate with the sponsor supported entry fees. We have so many great racers
in this area and these rules will allow more cars in the field and make for a better show for the
fans."
