KERRVILLE, Texas --
The X-DRL has formed a partnership with Roy Hill's Drag Racing School that will add even more
excitement to the already jam-packed Mayhem at the Creek at Maryland International Raceway in Budds
Creek, MD on July 26-27.
Drag racing legend Roy Hill and his staff will be on hand with the Roy Hill's Drag Racing School
three-seater dragster, which is backed by Coca-Cola, Alsco and FireAde 2000. This unique ride-along
dragster will offer the experience of a lifetime for ten drag racing fans at Mayhem at the Creek.
"In the weeks leading up to the event, we'll be giving away rides in the dragster to ten lucky fans
through both the X-DRL and Maryland International Raceway Facebook pages," said X-DRL President Jeff
Mitchell. "After recently attending Roy Hill's Drag Racing School and experiencing the three-seater
dragster, I knew this was something we had to do for our fans at our next race. Stay tuned for more
details on how to win."
The final ride in the dragster will be raffled with proceeds going directly to Cancer Sucks, the
X-DRL's officially designated charity for 2013.
In addition to the dragster, Hill and team driver Craig Hankinson will also enter two of the Phoenix
Racing Ford Mustang Cobra Jets in the X-DRL SuperCar Showdown class. With backing from Ford Racing,
Mustang Club of America's "Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration" and FireAde 2000, the team will be
fielding 2010 and 2013 model Cobra Jets.
"I'm really excited to be working with Jeff and all the folks at X-DRL," Hill said. "I can't wait to
see the smiles on the fans' faces after they experience a thrilling ride down the same 1/8th mile the
stars of the X-DRL are competing on."
